Avoid the shopping business and join Lead Teacher Kathryn on a hike through Manchester State Park! Download a scavenger hunt (below!) of fungus, birds, and native plants to explore with your child whether you can join us or not!
This is the loop Kathryn thoroughly enjoys in the area! It has a big field in the middle of the hike for some ideal running around and wet-weather picnicking. The duration may vary, but averages about two hours with 1-4 year olds and a couple snack/play breaks.
Things to bring:
Discover Pass Required
Snack for the hike and/or lunch for afterwards
Weather-appropriate clothing
Additional info:
No restrooms on the hiking loop
Not stroller friendly as there is a set of stairs halfway through and the trail can have some rocks and roots
The trail by the water is safe, no steep drop offs, but still a good idea to keep an extra eye on the little ones.
Dogs allowed but must be leashed at all times
