About Barnacles & Bees
Barnacles & Bees is a nature-based education and non-profit organization founded by five Bremerton families. Our mission is to build an inclusive learning community that fosters a rich connection with nature, inspires confidence and creativity, and leads to the development of curious leaders, connected to each other and the planet that we share. Barnacles & Bees is host to Bremerton's first forest early learning program, we also offer free community classes and workshops where children, families and adults can experience the magic of being outdoors and learning in nature. Our programming is designed to help build stronger families through inspiring, immersive outdoor curriculum for children and caregivers that combat common community issues like childhood obesity, depression, attention deficit disorder, developmental delays and media addiction. Barnacles & Bees actively works to create affordable and accessible nature education for all.

Our vision is to develop an organization that challenges our community to rethink the ways we support the wellbeing and life-long learning of all our citizens. We aim to unite people in an outdoor learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery and one where we are able to build and rebuild relationships with the Earth, its people and all of its creatures.
