Hello I’m Leslie,
I have been with Barnacles & Bees since 2021 as a parent, a volunteer, assistant teacher and admin.
The work put in by the staff is amazing and I feel lucky to do this work every day!
Born in Bremerton, I’m passionate about children learning through nature and all the lessons it offers. My experience includes working with children with behavioral needs, running a small business focused on community learning and gardening, and preparing healthy, early childhood meals. I was honored with the Food, Mind, and Body Award for my dedication to providing nutritious, whole foods to the littles in our program. Currently I am working towards my Bachelors in Psychology at WSU’s Global Campus.
I think that the role between children in nature and green spaces is so important for our body’s and mind.
