Barnacles & Bees Nature Immersion Programs

Barnacles & Bees is Bremerton’s first nature-based, 100% outdoor early learning program. We aim to provide an affordable, inclusive day camp for children living in Bremerton and the greater Kitsap region. Every day in our class is an adventure to discover the Pacific Northwest. We thrive in forests and on the beaches; it's the perfect place to play, grow, and learn!

Note to Families: 
  • Although we cannot secure nor guarantee an exact number of similarly-aged peers for your children, we believe there are many benefits to having a mixed age program- including but not limited to- mentorship, learning at a different pace, practicing empathy, and recognizing emotions of those who cannot yet express them. We do our best to create smaller group opportunities, matching kids of closer ability and age in order to practice skills that speak to their interest and learning level. We offer a non-traditional learning environment in which your child will most certainly thrive, regardless of age. 
  • We also realize that every child is unique and develops at their own rate. We are willing, within reason, to work with families that have a child younger than three, if we feel we can keep the child healthy and safe with the means and team we have on site. If, after a trial period, it is clear we cannot support a child in the program, we will exit them from the program with a heavy heart, in the interest of the child’s safety. 
We teach that, no matter how small you are, from the tiniest barnacle to the busiest bee, you can have a meaningful and positive impact in your community.
